MALTA’S NATIONAL AQUARIUM WEBSITE

I mentioned in my last post that Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada’s new website  is more streamlined in its design. It takes a bit longer than usual to load and open up on screen, but other than that on the whole it projects well and I like the changes. www.Ripley’saquariumcanada.com

One that I thoroughly enjoy is the National Aquarium of Malta’s website. I think you will too as it really communicates very well what the aquarium is all about.

It’s strong visual presentation is tied to a clear structure of information making it informative and really visitor friendly with a Did You Know component, a gallery a fun games and its totally cool graphic logos that are sooo cute !

It’s big factor is that it has embraced children and adults alike. Take a look at it here, jump in and explore it for yourself,www.aquarium.com.mt/visit. Let me know what you think about the two aquariums. Click the reply button at the top of this post on the right side. I look forward to your comments and in the meanwhile, I’ll be checking in to see if Toronto’s aquarium will adopt cute aquatic logos for it’s organization, just like the Malta National Aquarium.  www.aquarium.com.mt/visit,

THE MALTA NATIONAL AQUARIUM: OPENING SOON

Screen Shot 2013-07-19 at 4.59.54 PM

The Malta National Aquarium will soon open its doors to the public. It has been two years in construction, and is now nearing its completion, just like Toronto’s.

The aquarium has been on a parallel course of development with Toronto’s http://www.ripleyaquariums.com/canada/ and both their Facebook pages show a long list of comments from an eager public wanting to know when the opening will be, and hoping that it will open soon.

Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada’s new website is now streamlined, it’s more in line with The Malta National Aquarium. The two aquariums deliver their key objectives simply and with strong graphic imagery.

Both aquariums will conduct ongoing breeding and conservation programs including ongoing tagging and tracking programs for marine species, and for endangered species together with universities and government agencies.

Each aquarium is committed to delivering extensive education programs. The Malta National Aquarium is preparing educational programmes that will be in line with the new Maltese National curriculum. Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada will have dedicated learning spaces and both aquariums will provide students and the public with exciting interactive educational experiences, like the ROM www.rom.on.ca, the Toronto Zoo, and the AGO.
Using these techniques we can anticipate that both aquariums will help change the traditional way of learning about marine life and will instil in the public’s mind a greater sense of environmental responsibility towards waters.

With corporate social consciousness intact comes the deep reminder of the bottom line. Just like the Malta National Aquarium, www.aquarium.com.mt/visit,  the Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada, http://www.ripleyaquariums.com/canada/will offer itself and its entertainment facilities for retail rental space for functions, food service, and product merchandising.
